What do you get when you combine the world’s most handsome voice with a car commercial? Pure class. Mercedes Benz made the right choice when they hired Jon Hamm to narrate their new commercials. Despite all the boozing and womanizing that Hamm does on Mad Men his charm and deep voice assure us that everything will be okay.
It will be okay.
The Kid’s still got it! Despite mostly DH-ing at this point, Ken Griffey Jr can still beat Torii Hunter to the plate in this Dick’s Sporting Goods commercial. It also features Carl Crawford, Ryan Braun, and Orlando Hudson.
Can’t say that I’m a huge fan of this Staples commercial, but I am a huge fan of the casting director. The more Joey Slotnick I can get in my life, the better.
Who doesn’t love Brian Huskey? No one. That’s who. The world loves Brian Huskey. The comic who has been in every great comedy and has done the brilliant Sonic ads, now brings us a family car that may or may not have its gas pedal get stuck and kill everyone inside it.
If you go to the Sienna Minivan Youtube page, there is also a series of internet ads featuring Huskey’s talents.
Yay! An Australian comic book inspired advertisement that uses feminine hygiene products. Genius!
This one comes from Clemenger BBDO for Libra Invisibles.
Apparently a can of Friskies cat food is also loaded with LSD.
I have to assume that Friskies understands how balls-out-bonkers this commercial is and if they do, I love it. A cat on a surreal trip with jingle lyrics like “A journey to delicious and beyond/Exciting the cat day and night/With endless enchantment.” Like, no one took that seriously right? Genius.
A weird choice for narrator from Dodge, I have to say. It’s impossible for me to think of Michael C Hall as anyone other than Dexter, so in my head I’m thinking “Man’s last stand is to drive his Charger and then murder people?” Regardless, I like Michael C Hall and therefore I like the commercial.
This one comes from Wieden+Kennedy.
I already love Audi, so they had no need to convert me. But after watching this commercial, they could have had me anyways.

Luke Wilson is a pretty likable guy, but so far his AT&T spots have been misses. But this commercial, featuring the talents of Brian T Finney who was also in the Bing.com “Shining” advertisement as well as the Christmas episode of Modern Family and was a recurring character on Reno 911! I also happened to see him eating lunch with Thomas Lennon the other week outside of the UCB Theater, but didn’t behave like a crazy person and I let them eat in peace.
